Peer Review Enhancements

Two of the three NIH Regional Consultation Meetings on Peer Review have been held, with the last in SF coming up later in Oct (25). The Chicago meeting summary is fairly comprehensive, and I’m sure similar notes will be uploaded for the sessions in NYC and SF.

I like Keith Yamamoto’s query as to whether there are “ways to get senior scientists back in the [review] process and away from the thinking that they have lifetime immunity once they have served one term?”

In the meantime, the intrepid PhysioProf has blogged his observations on the Oct 8 NYC meeting over in DrugMonkey’s space.
