Boy did NIH screw me over. I went in for an ARRA supplement to my main R01 grant and all the indications I heard from the PO were good. My grant was supposedly “in line” to be funded. Then I get the bad news – No $’s! They said there were 3000 supplement applications and only 200-300 funded. So, once you get through all of the “Big Shot” schools, nothing is left. What a joke – There wasn’t even an attempt to fairly distribute the funds.

I am so not Stimulated, but I am pretty mad.
