Brief note that Science reports additional cut-backs to the NICHD intramural research program (beyond those imposed last spring). This time, more than budgets will be slashed – up to 12 labs could be shut down. According to Science, NCI and NIDDK are also paring down intramural research, though the pain seems to be most acute at NICHD.
